Haircuts (thanks Mel)

BEFORE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I asked him if we could just trim around his eyes and ears because I actually started loving the long hair look on him, but he told me NO. He wanted all of it cut off. Then he informed me that he wants to grow it out every summer.

AFTER!!!! He doesn't even look like the same kid! But look at those beautiful eyes!!!

Not to be out done....Calista wanted a hair cut too (I am secretly thrilled about this one)

She looks so grown up with this little bob cut. I just love this cut on her.

Izsak's crazy hair day

When Izsak decided he wanted to grow out his hair it was all for crazy hair day. We finally arrived at that day! So here is a picture of how it turned out.
I think he would make a rockin 80's hair band member!!! But he kind of looks like a mad scientist too.
He had fun and was pleased with the results so I guess it was worth it.

And Izsak is the only one left in elementary school :*( sniff, My baby can't possibly be in 3rd grade already. Well here's to a successful school year, I know they will all do great!

Blogging? Oh yeah I do that!

Holy crap!!! I have totally slacked on my blogging duties and now that I realize how long it's been I feel SOOOOOO guilty! There has not been much happening in my neck of the woods besides work and oh yeah.....work. I wish I got a summer break from my job. So far we have celebrated Jacob's 13th (gasp) birthday and Calista's 11th birthday. In 2 days we are heading to Yellowstone with dad and Aleeca (can't wait to see her!!!!). So for now here are some birthday pictures. I WILL post Yellowstone pictures when we get back. Love to you all.

The dinosaur park

WE told the kids to pretend the dinosaur was chasing them.
I'm so happy that we we're all able to get together with the kids and enjoy the park. I love watching the little kids and the way my kids interact with them. They really do love their cousins!
These two are just a couple of hams!!

Friday Night

So yesterday I took the kids and we went over to Logan to listen to Tyler with his "new" band. it was awesome!

The music was loud, the bands were great and it was a ton of fun to watch Tyler drumming again.
As we were leaving the owner of the place we were at told the kids that he had never had kids stay for a whole show. He was impressed that they never whined or complained and then he told them that they ROCK! All in all it was a fun night.

Easter Egg Hunting

Today was the annual eater egg hunt in Garland. Our egg hunt is sponsored by the fire dept.
Which means that for every plastic egg the kids find, the fire dept gives them a dime.
Jacob came away with $1.90, Calista came away with $1.50, and Izsak came away with $2.30. Plus they each got at least one egg with a 50 cent piece in it. Sadly this is the last year Jacob can do the easter egg hunt. Hope everyone has a Happy Easter.

My new work space

So we have finally made the move at work. YEAH! Just wanted to throw a few pictures up of my new office,(who would have thought I'd ever get an office). The first picture is the crafty space in my office where we will get to create whatever we want. I get to start teaching a card class at least once a month if not once a week, depends on how many are interested.
The second picture is of my "new" (to me) desk. I'm so lucky to get to work where I do and with the people that I do, definitely the best job in the world!

Spring Fever

Yep, it's official! the kids have spring fever, as do I. Yesterday as Izsak was inside hacking his lungs out, Jacob and Calista went outside to play.
This is what I found them doing when I looked out the window. I guess they were getting the Playhouse area ready to play in. Jacob raked while Calista was "getting her garden ready for planting". To bad they couldn't be enthusiastic year round.

Success

Hi everybody, just wanted to pop in and let you all know the great news. Hugh has been released to go back to work on Wednesday. The Dr. said everything is healing just as he would expect it to and he can return to full duty. Can you believe it's only been 2 weeks since this madness began? I'm amazed at the things our bodies can go through and still survive.

Blue and Gold Banquet

Tonight was the Blue and Gold banquet, we had to make cake for the fundraiser auction. We had the idea of a treasure chest and I think it turned out pretty good. About 20 minutes before we were going to leave, Izsak had a fight with the sidewalk. He was out riding his scooter and crashed and burned. The goosegg is about the size of, well a small goose. OUCH!

A Fun Weekend

It was so fun to have Asher and Evie for a few days. Evie wouldn't leave Calista's side and Calista was the best little mother to her, she'll make a great mother one day. I hardly did any thing for Evie cause Calista was right on top of it. So I wanted to get a picture of the cute pair they are.
Not to be outdone by the girls, Asher and Izsak had to have a photo op also, which really captured their personalities and the way the act when they are together. So all in all it was a great weekend, thanks Brian and Kandise for going away and sharing your wonderful, beautiful kids with us.

D.A.R.E. Graduation

Last night Calista had her D.A.R.E. graduation. She was one of 3 who completed her dare book and received special recognition for that. We are so proud of her and the choices she makes to always try to do what is right and ALWAYS be kind to everyone. Way to go Calista.

I can see clearly now.......

As you can see Calista got some much needed glasses. When they put them on her for the first time today she said "COOL, it's not blurry on those signs over there. I can read them now!" I think she likes them and she looks so cute in them.

what an awesome girl

Today I was sitting in the front room and I kept hearing water running in the bathroom. The door was closed so I knocked and asked Calista what she was doing, her answer was nothing. So I quietly opened the door to find she was trying to clean the tub. How AWESOME is that! Now if I can only train her to do toilets.........

Grandparents are GREAT

I so love it when we make it over to visit grandma and grandpa Buttars. They always make you feel like the most important person in the world and they are so fun to be around. Just sitting and talking to them is one of my favorite things in the world to do. We were laughing because as Calista went to take this picture for me she said "There is a witch in the picture" Meaning the one hanging by the calander, but grandma and I both wondered which one of us she was talking about!
Anyways I hope they know how much I love and appreciate them, they are the greatest grandparents. And I'm their favorite Tawny!
