My favorite peeps

I love this man with all my heart!!! He makes me laugh, keeps me on my toes, and treats me like a queen. He always works so hard for our little family on top of going to school. He is the most amazing man I know. Come on, how could you not love that face?
Jacob is such a tender young man. He is a great example to his younger siblings, he just wants everyone to be happy and get along (but he will argue a point to the death if he thinks he is right!!) I can't believe he just got his learner's permit and is only 2 years away from graduating high school, my how time flies!!

Calista is all about the fun!!! She is always the life of the party. She is such a great helper with Ethan and she loves taking care of him. She is becoming quit the little cook and is very good at baking banana bread. She is totally into the 70's peace right now and thinks it's "groovy". My only daughter, how I love her. She is such a beauty (and kind of a dork)!!!

Izsak, well what can I say about Izsak. He is my carefree child. He HATES homework with a passion yet he always gets good grades. He loves to read (when he finds the right kind of book), and loves playing outside. He is all about the sunshine and that is always the first thing he asks everyday "Is it supposed to be sunny today?" And his sense of humor, well let's just say it is top notch!!!
Ethan, my handsome little boy. He brings so much joy to our home. He is such a good natured baby and rarely in a bad mood. When he was teething I didn't even know it because he never got onry, he just all of a sudden had a tooth one day. He gets so excited to see the kids when they come back from their dad's or get home from school. He just lights up to see them and they love to see who can make him laugh first (Izsak usually wins).

Well there you have it, a little tidbit about my favorite peeps.

Meet ducky, dirty ducky that is!
Dirty Ducky is Ethan's favorite stuffed animal, we call him Dirty Ducky because his is dirty (duh) from all the times that Ethan sucks on him and then plays with him. I keep saying I'm going to wash him but have never gotten around to it.It is so cute how he hugs him and gets all excited when we hand him dirty ducky. Ethan always snuggles dirty ducky to his forehead. He loves to hug dirty ducky when he is going to sleep.
And in the mornings he will lay in his bed and just talk to dirty ducky. There is a little tag on dirty duckies butt that is one of Ethan's favorite things about dirty ducky. He will find the tag and rub in with his fingers.

Tis the Season

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Christmas time and decorating the house for the season. This year the kids were so helpful and we got it done in record time. Now to sit back and enjoy our favorite time of year with those we love.

Lookwho has discovered the Christmas tree. He would touch the branch and then get so excited and flap his arms in excitement. Cutest thing ever!!
This is our Elf on the Shelf. He reports to Santa every night and the kids have to search the house every morning to find out where he has sat himself to keep a watch over them for the day.

I love having this collection of Santa's. All but the tall white one where my mother-in-laws before she passed away. I love every one of them and what a great way to remember her at this time of year.

The true reason for the season, Christ's birth. I have a few nativity sets but this one is my absolute favorite. The stocking were all made by my wonderful, favorite Grandma Buttars. They are a great treasure!!
I love these little winter decorations and leave them up through January.

It never ceases to amaze me how cute this little boy is! He will wear any hat that is put on his head and never tries to pull it off. We love this little Mister!

Giving blogging another try

So I realize it has been FOREVER since I have updated this blog. But I think I'm ready to get back into it. There has been so much going on in the last year or so. We have had the blessing and privilege of welcoming a new little spirit into our home. Ethan has been so much fun for all of us. He is such a happy baby and a joy to be around, even Calista can't stay mad at anything when she is around him because he always makes her smile. Life is good!!!
